3. How We Use Your Data
We use the personal data you provide to:
- Respond to your enquiry — when you submit a contact form, we use your details to reply to your message.
- Prepare and send a quotation — when you request a quote, we use your details, base requirements, and any photographs to assess your project and provide an accurate price.

We do not use your data for marketing purposes. We do not send newsletters, promotional emails, or share your data with third parties for marketing.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
Under UK GDPR, we must have a lawful basis for processing your personal data. We rely on the following:
- Legitimate interest — processing your contact form and quote requests is necessary for us to respond to your enquiries and provide our services. This is in both our interest and yours.
- Contractual necessity — if you proceed to book work with us, processing your data is necessary to fulfil our contract with you.
- Legal obligation — we may need to retain certain records (e.g. invoices) to comply with tax and accounting regulations.
5. Third-Party Services
We use a small number of trusted third-party services to operate this website. These services may process your data on our behalf:
We use Resend to deliver form submissions to our email inbox. When you submit a contact or quote form, your data passes through Resend's servers to deliver the email to us. Resend acts as a data processor on our behalf.
Our website is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may log standard technical data (such as IP addresses) for security and performance purposes.
We use Google Fonts to display typefaces on this website. When you visit a page, your browser may connect to Google's servers to load font files. Google's privacy policy applies to this data.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third parties.
6. Photographs You Upload
When you upload photographs through our quote request form, these images are sent directly to us as email attachments. They are used solely to assess your site and provide an accurate quotation.
Photographs are retained in our email history for reference purposes, for example if you later proceed with a booking or need a revised quote. We do not publish, share, or use your photographs for any other purpose without your explicit permission.
7. How Long We Keep Your Data
We retain your personal data only for as long as necessary:
- General enquiries: Contact form submissions are kept in our email for as long as needed to respond to your enquiry and handle any follow-up, typically no more than 12 months.
- Quote requests: If you do not proceed with a booking, your quote details are retained in our email for up to 12 months in case you wish to revisit the quote.
- Completed projects: For customers who proceed with work, we retain your name, contact details, and project records for the duration of our 10-year guarantee so that we can honour the guarantee and deal with any claims.
- Financial records: Invoices and payment records are retained for 6 years as required by HMRC regulations.
8. Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access — you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — you can ask us to correct any inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure — you can ask us to delete your personal data, unless we have a legal obligation to retain it (e.g. guarantee records, invoices).
- Right to restrict processing — you can ask us to limit how we use your data in certain circumstances.
- Right to data portability — you can ask us to provide your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Right to object — you can object to our processing of your data where we are relying on legitimate interest as our legal basis.

If you are unsatisfied with how we handle your data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection authority. You can reach the ICO at ico.org.uk or by calling 0303 123 1113.
9. Cookies
This website does not use cookies for tracking, analytics, or advertising purposes. We do not use Google Analytics or any similar tracking tools.
