Yes, for concrete bases for habitable rooms such as garden offices and garden rooms, we include a Damp Proof Membrane (DPM) as standard. The DPM is sandwiched into the base during construction. This is listed as an optional extra on your quote so you can see the cost clearly.

Yes, we lay electrical conduit during the base installation so your electrician can run power, heating, and internet cables into the garden room without needing to break into the finished base. We position the conduit entry points to match your manufacturer's electrical specifications. It's much easier and cheaper to do this during the pour than to retrofit afterwards.

This is critical — garden rooms have precision-manufactured doors, windows, and cladding panels that rely on a perfectly flat and level base. Even a few millimetres out can cause doors to bind, windows to leak, and panels to not align properly. This level of precision is one of the main reasons to use a professional installer rather than attempting a DIY base.
