The Story
JustBases is the specialist evolution of Phillips Groundworks — the Phillips family's groundworks business, established in the 1970s. For over 50 years, the Phillips name has been synonymous with quality foundations across Dorset and Hampshire. JustBases was born to take that half-century of expertise and focus it on one thing: building the perfect base. We are also the sister company of Sunset Developments.
Why we exist: We saw too many expensive garden rooms ruined by poor foundations. We created a specialist team to do one thing perfectly: Bases.
Meet Craig Phillips
Craig Phillips leads the team, continuing a family tradition that started with Phillips Groundworks over 50 years ago. Growing up around groundworks, Craig brings an instinct for soil conditions across Dorset and Hampshire that only comes from decades of hands-on family experience. His philosophy is simple: "Do it once, do it right."
