What the foundation needs to do

Rotating, reciprocating and impact machinery can impose loads far beyond its standing weight. An inertia base may be combined with springs, pads or separation joints to control motion and noise.

We install reinforced concrete blocks and pads to the machine supplier and structural or vibration engineer's drawings, including anchor assemblies and service penetrations.

Options, assessed properly

Suitable foundation methods

The methods below are possibilities to assess—not interchangeable specifications. We match the foundation to the product, loads, support points, ground and access.

Concrete

Concrete foundation

A reinforced inertia block, isolated pad or equipment foundation is formed to the approved mass, geometry and anchor plan.

Often worth considering for: Compressors, presses, pumps, test rigs and production plant

A written price for the approved detail

Specialist foundations are quoted from the actual product, support plan and site information. No VAT is added to the guide prices shown.

Dimensions, approvals and responsibilities

Machine supplier data and a competent vibration/structural design are required before pricing. Adding concrete mass without analysis can move rather than solve a vibration problem.

Installation planning must address lifting, temporary support, grout, alignment and commissioning responsibilities separately from the concrete scope.

JustBases quotes the agreed foundation and groundwork. Product installation, specialist connections, commissioning and third-party design remain outside our scope unless the written quotation expressly includes them.

A simple route forward

From first call to ready base

Tell us about the heavy machine, approximate size and site. We will identify any useful supplier information.

  2. 2

    Agree the foundation

We assess access, levels, support requirements and ground, then provide a clear written quotation.

  3. 3

    Install and hand over

Our team installs the agreed base and leaves it ready for the approved building or equipment installer.
