Specialist base installation

Motorhome Parking Hardstandings

Motorhome parking needs deeper thought than an extra strip of patio: axle loads, turning, drainage and overhang all affect the hardstanding.

What the foundation needs to do

Motorhomes are heavier and longer than most cars, and their rear overhang can sweep beyond the wheel path. A base that looks wide enough may still be awkward to enter or may rut beneath the rear axle.

We prepare permeable, paved or concrete hardstanding to the actual vehicle and site, including edge restraints and lawful surface-water management.

Options, assessed properly

Suitable foundation methods

The methods below are possibilities to assess—not interchangeable specifications. We match the foundation to the product, loads, support points, ground and access.

Paving slabs

Paving-slab base

Vehicle-rated permeable blocks or reinforced grid systems can provide a durable parking surface with a designed sub-base.

Often worth considering for: Front and side driveways where appearance and drainage both matter

Concrete

Concrete foundation

A concrete pad offers robust support when falls, joints and impermeable runoff are properly designed.

Often worth considering for: Heavy motorhomes, maintenance areas and approved rear or side plots

A written price for the approved detail

Specialist foundations are quoted from the actual product, support plan and site information. No VAT is added to the guide prices shown.

Dimensions, approvals and responsibilities

A new front-garden hard surface over five square metres generally needs to be permeable or drain to a permeable area to benefit from permitted development in England.

A new dropped kerb, altered boundary or restrictive covenant is separate from the parking-surface construction and should be checked first.

JustBases quotes the agreed foundation and groundwork. Product installation, specialist connections, commissioning and third-party design remain outside our scope unless the written quotation expressly includes them.
