Shipping containers carry much of their load through the corner castings. Poorly positioned blocks or soft ground can twist the box enough to affect doors and conversions.
We install pad, slab or engineered screw foundations for storage and converted containers, including multi-container layouts where bridging supports and accurate relative levels are critical.
Options, assessed properly
The methods below are possibilities to assess—not interchangeable specifications. We match the foundation to the product, loads, support points, ground and access.
Ground screws
Commercial screws with suitable heads or bridging plates can provide accurately levelled corner supports in verified ground.
Often worth considering for: Linked containers, sloping sites and promptly loadable foundations
Concrete
Individual pads, strips or a full slab can be formed to the container use and any conversion engineer's design.
Often worth considering for: Permanent conversions, trafficked interiors and hardstanding around the container
Specialist foundations are quoted from the actual product, support plan and site information. No VAT is added to the guide prices shown.
Before installation
Storage use, duration, location and conversion work can all affect planning and building-control requirements. A container is not automatically exempt because it can technically be moved.
Converted containers may need support beyond four corners where walls are removed or modules are joined; use the structural designer's plan.
